Problem:
When Optiply suggests a purchase, the SKUs are presented in a random order.
Context:
To enhance order flow management, it would be beneficial if the order, once permanently booked into Optiply, retains the user-applied sorting order when pushed to Picqer or other systems. This consistency is crucial for efficient processing.
Why?
Our main task after receiving a Purchase Order involves booking all SKUs upon their arrival and verifying invoices against purchase prices. Our suppliers typically categorize SKUs based on product groups with shared characteristics, often reflected in their shipments due to similar dimensions or sizes. Upon arrival at our warehouse, logically sorting products by SKUs according to these specific characteristics streamlines our workflow. Additionally, for invoice control, verifying items grouped by SKUs, particularly those with identical price points, proves more efficient.
Solution:
Before permanently booking an order into Optiply and pushing it to other systems, the software should check and maintain the user-defined sorting order of the order grid. This adjustment would ensure that the initial organization of SKUs is preserved throughout the entire order processing and management cycle.
